Aman Tokyo takes the top floors of a tower in Otemachi, the business district beside the Imperial Palace grounds. It suits travellers who want serene, minimalist luxury, as well as couples and design enthusiasts. The setting is formal and quiet by day and almost silent at night, and it gives a calm, grown-up view of the city from far above the streets.
Rooms are spacious and restrained, with natural materials, soft light and big windows that frame the skyline. A spa and pool are part of the offering, and the lobby is a dramatic, airy space that sets the tone of calm. The atmosphere is hushed, polished and deeply private, and the service is discreet. It is more a sanctuary to rest in than a place for nightlife.
Otemachi Station has several subway lines and is directly beneath the building complex, so it is easy to reach Ginza, Tokyo Station and the airports. The neighbourhood is quieter at weekends because it is mostly offices, so check dining plans if you want a livelier evening. This is one of the city's priciest stays, so book well ahead and confirm what each room category includes.

Otemachi is a convenient base for exploring Tokyo. Get a Suica or Pasmo card for trains and metro. Staying near a Yamanote Line station keeps most sights within 30 minutes.
